So its happening once more, the absolute almost loss of Human kindness on our high streets. Manners have given way to desire or even just sheer pettiness and drive to get something that might make a child smile, albeit for just a second or two before its replaced by the next thing in line. We have become consumed with adoration rather than family values. Christmas ought to be about spending time together...
Nothing quite like it, don't go shopping, have a stroll along a forest path and theres so much to see.
Sunlight flickering through branches, sometimes with full floor shots of light and other times menacing shadows. Treees and branches often splayed as if in protest or even to trap whilst others are as upright and straight as a guardsman at Buckingham Palace. Leaves scattered underfoot and moving as if one is wealking through water. Berries and winter blooming flowers tucked away in hedges or hiding from human view as best they can. Squirrels scurrying from ground up trunks and then stting on their hinds whilst surveying the forest floor. The air temperature changing by a degree between sunlight and shade. Exhaled air making vapour trails around ones face and neck
Yes its that time of the year when the warmth of summer has disappeared over the horizon, not to be seen until next year. For me it brings the dreaded OsteoArthritis and my walk to town has lost its magnificence as the trees now look forlorn. Early nights are now in order, under heavy duvets.
I'm struggling a little of late and am ever so tired which has left me unable to update this site for a few days. Please bear with me as I will get to it later today or perhaps tomorrow. Much love to you all.
Its not only difficult this time of year for animals but also PTSD sufferers! Ive already had a few jumps with early celebrations. Take care with fireworks everyone and only a few more days fellow sufferers!
So its favour time lovely people. Can I ask you to please share some of my work or this page with as many people as you can on whatever means you can. I would like to spread my wings and hopefully touch some more readers and perhaps writers too. Thanks to those that can and maybe next time to those that can't!
As you can see I am on a swimming course at the moment and will endeavour to publish new or unseen material as and when I can find the energy in my arms. My swimming coach is quite a task master. Ive just added one to the main poetry page titled Blood!
I have been blown away by some of the responses to the site this past few days and am really enjoying the guest poetry which I hope will keep arriving as its so rewarding to take a peek into other writers lives. Todays poem by David Borrows has touched me as it intertwines the importance of life and death so eloquently.
